A renovated space to connect generations

In a home near Puerto Banús, a British family entrusted Nova Kitchen Concept with the redesign of the heart of their vacation home: the kitchen. Their main objective was clear from the start: to create an open, fluid space where children and grandchildren could share moments while cooking, eating, or simply enjoying time together.

The challenge: integrate without invading

Converting a traditional kitchen into an open-plan living space isn't just a matter of knocking down walls. It's about balancing aesthetics, functionality, and technology, especially when the goal is for the result to look original, not a remodel. And that was precisely our biggest challenge: ensuring that this new kitchen didn't feel "new," but rather a natural part of the home.

Real solutions for real needs

We opted for beige lacquered doors that blended with the original flooring, providing visual continuity. The countertop was designed with LG HIMACS solid surface, a material that allows seamless integration of sinks, lending a clean and sophisticated look to the entire space.

The extraction system was a key element in the design: powerful, quiet, and concealed, perfect for an open kitchen that blends seamlessly into the living room without generating noise or odors.

Human-centered design

The owners, both in their eighties, needed a comfortable, ergonomic, and functional kitchen. Every detail was thought out with them in mind:

• Interior drawers in low areas to avoid bending over.
• Round lighting instead of linear LED, for personal aesthetic taste.
• In-sink disposal to simplify waste management.

A shared experience

The process was enriching. The clients knew what they wanted, but they were also open to our ideas and suggestions. This allowed us to work freely, but also with a clear direction. And when that happens, the results speak for themselves.
